So, we want to go with a provisional board for hashing out the
administration/governance of the SharpOS project, along with providing
conflict resolution and an official way of making decisions for, and
on behalf of, the project. We've determined that the list should
include (initially) the core contributors / starters of the project.
The list looks like this:

- Mircea Cristian Racasan
- Bruce Markham
- Johann Macdonagh
- Sander van Rossen
- William Lahti (me)
- Scott Balmos
- Michael Schurter

This is just the initial list, and once the board is set up and we
have our voting methods in place, we will begin voting in those who
requested membership in Bruce's thread. Each member will have an equal
vote.

Bruce has also put forth some conventions which will henceforth become
official policy of the SharpOS project (and will be displayed on the
wiki):

1. All project-affecting decisions - licensing, acceptance of code
submissions, adding or removing voting members, or otherwise revising
work processes or content - must be approved by a majority vote by the
governing body as defined at the point a motion is made.

2. To prevent frivolous bureaucratic activity, a motion must be
seconded before it can be voted on.

So, I hereby instate the provisional board instated above. We now
require a way to perform voting. Having read many messags and talked
to a few people, I believe an acceptable way of doing this is creating
a read-only mailing list comprised of the members of the provisional
board. That means the logs will be public, but it will not be possible
to register to post messages on the list. My reasoning on making the
logs public is ease of accountability and accountability of the
decisions of our board members. I will soon make the list and
subscribe the appropriate people to it, so that we can begin voting in
new members and shaping the policies and governance of the SharpOS
project.

So, let the fun begin!
