I think that's the best way to go. It doesn't make much sense to force
spaces unless we're going to do a lot of inline structure initialization and
want those to be aligned nicely. But even in that case one can easily enter
spaces instead of tabs to do the formatting.

I see another coding guideline coming :)

I have seriously no idea why they posted anything about number of spaces per
tab in mono coding guidelines, as it's mostly irrelevant (unless they also
want comments after line to align nicely - but that's specific case
anyways). They are using tabs in repo
(http://anonsvn.mono-project.com/viewcvs/trunk/mono/samples/size/sample.cs?r
ev=66660
for example) and we should too, because everyone can set his visual tab-size
to whatever he wants and we won't change each other's formating - you can
have your 4, grover can have his 2 and I'll stay with 3 thankyouverymuch.
