Perhaps we should convene a meeting to discuss the state of SharpOS and help coordinate development. In the past we've had meetings on Saturday at 1800/1900 UTC ... does this sound good for our current bunch of interested parties?
Preliminary topics (please discuss additions/changes): * Logging: we need to revise our IRC logging mechanisms. We have Sharpbot but he does not have a maintainer nor a permanent host (although a few of the board members have been trying to fill some of the gaps). The code needs to be profiled and checked for memory and performance bugs, which has presented issues with previous hosts. * New meeting scheme: It might be a good idea to standardize a dual-session meeting model to better accommodate our disparate time zones. Basically we'd have two meeting times and you can go to whichever is more convenient for your schedule. We would decide on meeting topics ahead of time. * Coding style: we currently follow Mono's coding style guides, but few if any of us follow it to the tee. There may be exceptions that we wish to adopt. * Brief on current projects, find volunteers for much needed projects (documentation, korlib work and corlib integration, complete string support, more testcases for the AOT, reflection support, rewrite the console using objects and many others) * Others? -- fury long name: William Lahti handle :: fury freenode :: xfury blog :: http://xfurious.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Register now and save $200.
