1. Remove the airbox and battery
2. Remove battery tray
3. Disconnect the fuel Lines (You can bleed the fuel pressure off
at the fuel rail, just remove the cap on the valve and depress the valve
with a screw driver and use a rag to soak up the fuel)

4. Unplug the wiring harnesses

5. Disconnect vacuum lines

6. Disconnect Throttle/cruise/kickdown cables

7. Cut all the belts

8. Remove A/C compressor and use bungee cord to hold it to the
fender. If the system is empty, you can simply pull the lines off and
pull the compressor off completely.

9. Remove Alternator

10. Break the wheels loose, jack up front of the car and take off
the wheels

11. remove the coolant Lines, then Drain and remove the Radiator
10mm

12. Remove front (core support) mount 15mm

13. Remove rear transaxle mount (5-speeds)

14. Remove the outer axle nuts (1-1/4 socket, big breaker bar) Place
a screw driver through the caliper bracket, into the vent of the rotor.
Almost guaranteed to not go anywhere and you don't need help to remove
the axles.

15. Undo the two intermediate shaft bolts holding it onto the back
of the block 15mm

16. Remove the lower ball joint bolts 15mm bolt 18mm nut

17. If you have a long breaker bar, you can pry down on the control
arm to drop the ball joint out of the spindle. If not, you may have to
swing the sway bar down to get at the ball joint, 13mm bolts and nuts
and you have to do both sides.

18. Put a pan under the transaxle and be ready to catch the
transmission fluid as you're swinging the spindle out and back to slide
the axles out. Yes you can do this with the tie-rods in place.

19. Reassemble the front balljoints to the spindles.

20. Undo the exhaust flange bolts, probably have to cut them as
they'll be rusted 13mm

21. Disconnect transmission cables and lines

22. Remove the power steering lines, have a drain pan ready.

23. Attach hoist chain to the Intake neck behind the TB and to the
passenger side motor mount or to the ear on the transaxle and to the
upper stud on the A/C bracket.
24. Raise hoist until it is tight

25. Remove passenger side mount bolts 13mm

26. Remove long bolt on tranny mount from fender well 15mm

27. Remove the drivetrain. An engine tilter/leveler is very helpful
here. Tilt the engine in place until the two side mounts are free.
Then pull the drivetrain forward and start raising it up with the hoist.
Keep raising the drivetrain until the crank pulley is above the frame
rail, then level it out. At this point, depending on your hoist's
range, you may have to put the wheels back on the car and lower the it
to the ground to gain enough room to clear the core support with the oil
pan.
