I,ve taped of the rim with the tire on and used a 3M pad med to fine works great. and also a tack rag. clean rim with a tooth brush before sanding . Using a can of spray paint from Auto Zone the only place i can come close to matching the rim ( GM 340 CC ) before spraying wipe off area with house hold rubbing alcohol. this will prevent fish eye and cracks in paint . If there are any deep scratches use light spot putty. As for the center cap after being painted fill in the CS logo with a black model paint let it get a little tacky and wipe at an angle with finger nail polish remover and repeat this a few times because it takes a good amount of paint to fill the CS logo. you can smear the paint over the CS logo because It,s to hard to paint it in .
