If the Logic Module is fried in this manner, it is easy to tell. Just remove the four Philips screws and look at the top (towards the connector) end on the board and a resistor will be dark. You can just desolder/solder this resistor and go in most cases. If you can't read the value, compare it to another board. I have seen this a LOT of times.
