Wonder where all the other "old-timers" are..

Hi all,

I am actually feeling better, because the list is alive again! I missed
it, and of course, the members writings too. I've been involved in an 86
GLHT since 1988. I started with the "net" soon after I met Doug Mills at
a solo 2 (autocross then) event in the Seattle area in 1991.

I didn't know anyone went anywhere. :) I just got to looking and saw
that I hadn't got an SD e-mail for about a month. What happened anyway?

Okay Fellow SDML'ers, Here's the skinny. I have a Turbo Shelby
Rampage... been buying parts for years... it leaks like a seive whenever
it rains. I keep hoping I can put it on a rotisserie and weld the body
shut, get it out of the barn and have some fun with it. I'm getting
older and this list is all the fun I'm having at this moment with my
Turbo Dodges. I lurk alot but enjoy it as well.

"+1", LOL. What's it been...like 12 years? Crazy. Most of the other
lists are dead, but this one still has some signs of life. I like the
low volume...I can actually keep up. The days of 100 emails a day are
over, thankfully.

I like the old-school mailing lists. They tend to keep the riff-raff on
the web forums and serious folks here. Maybe that's why the traffic is
down. >shrug<

I came aboard this list back in early 99 I believe. At least that's
where the first postings of mine are from on my SDML archives disk.
(Great source if you can still get one. I researched my cars on it to
find out what former owners had done to the cars)
I started off here with 2 turbo cars. My 89 TII Daytona Shelby and my
86 Charger Shelby. Both cars I had since they were 3 years old. I sold
both last summer to free up space for a second 87 GLHS. Hard to see
them go after all the years, but now I have solid cars again.
I've always loved this mailing list. Your questions go past everyone
rather than get lost in the wrong catagory on a forum.
It's great to see everyone chiming in.
