Since I'm in the business of supplying people items to restore their Shelby
Dodge cars I keep my eyes open for long unavailable NOS parts that owners need
to finish off their vehicles. Recently I was able to finalize a deal where I
obtained an item that people have been asking me about locating (or
reproducing) for a long time.

This is likely to be the most unique (and impossible to substitute) part ever
used only on the final two "numbered" vehicles, the 1989 Shelby CSX & the 1989
Shelby Dakota. I'm referring to the special "Shelby" fabric used on the seat
inserts and a small portion of the upper door panels.

What makes it so different is that it has the word "Shelby" embroidered into
the fabric itself. This also is what makes it extremely expensive to ever think
of reproducing. Luckily I was able to obtain a small supply of NOS material in
perfect condition that I'm putting up for sale so owners can finally finish
their interior.

For a little background, the only time I've ever seen this material offered for
sale is one quick time back in 1997. This is likely the last time you'll ever
see it available to purchase. I want to make it clear that this is a one time
offering and I've only got a limited supply. I can't get any more.

The pricing I'm offering it for may be considered high compared to regular seat
fabrics, but considering it's extreme rarity it's quite fair considering what
the open market will bear for NOS materials. It's best suited to buy in special
sized sections to replace only the heavily worn or damaged portions and reuse
the undamaged sections you have. Buying enough to recover your whole interior
is not going to be cost effective for most people.

I've done some basic calculations to most efficiently determine exactly what
sizes you'll need to use to use for the upper or lower sections of the 1989 CSX
with regular or Recaro seats. I haven't done the math for the 1989 Shelby
Dakota's (which use the same inserts on their burgundy interior).

Similar to wallpaper this material is "directional" as the Shelby lettering
goes corner to corner so it can only be cut in certain widths to avoid having
odd sizes of unusable material leftover. It's a little involved to explain how
much material you'll require for your particular needs so if you're seriously
interested give me a call and I'll let you know how much it'll come out to.

I'll be fairly easy to reach this weekend and next week I'll be in and out
during the day and easier to reach during the evening hours.
