Good point.  That 15% loss would have to go somewhere; i.e., heat.  At
that rate, the U-joint would be glowing yellow and its grease would be
long gone within the first ten miles

Not to mention, that much loss of power on one side vs. the other
would make torque steer feel tame by comparison.

Maybe the real figure is 1.5%.  Or more likely, 0.15%.
