Guys, the time has come to sacrifice my 1985 Shelby Charger. This is a
Garnett/Silver car. It has 96k original miles on it. It is currently
an auto, though it is an original 5 speed car. It comes with all the
original parts to turn it back into a 5 speed (clutch pedal is still in
the car) and the a525 transmission that is still in great shape. The
413 that is in it has Alto red racing clutches and a kevlar band. I
rebuilt the transmission myself, and have never had any issues with it.
I converted it to be a bracket car, but never could make it very
consistant. I have also converted it to a GLHS Stage 2 setup, with two
piece intake, GLHS TB, and I installed an SRT-4 IC in the front facia.
I have a dual stage boost controller, one setting at 15, the other at
about 7 for highway driving. It has an Omni gauge pod, with electric
fuel pressure gauge, boost gauge and shift light. I also have one of
the little air/fuel meters that was made just for these cars, but they
no longer make. I can't remember what that brand was now. It has the
A/C delete bracket in it, but I have the original compressor and
condensor with it too. The only things that I know of that are wrong
with it are that the sunroof seal needs to be replaced and the hood is
not original, and is black/silver. It had a fire in it back in 94 right
after we rebuilt the engine, and I replaced it with this other hood back
in 2002 when I put it all back together after it sat in an old garage
all that time. There is no signs of the fire left, except I never did
remove the stock vacuum diagram, and it is crumpled under the new paint
that we put on it when we put it back together. It also has the
long/short shaft setup up front, instead of the carrier bearing setup.
It does need most of the suspension parts replaced, ie shocks, struts,
rubber parts, etc... I drive it usually once a month or so, but it
really needs to go to home that can use it more than I can. I have only
put about 1500 miles on it in 6 years, so it doesn't go far much. I
hate to sell it, but we need to buy a bigger house and are working a
fund raiser. LOL... I have about $4000 in it now, and would like to
get $2800 for it as it sits with all the extras. Oh, and I also have a
spare set up wheels with BFG drag radials on them with about 6 passes on
them. The 4 tires on it are Cooper Cobras, and were brand new about 4
years ago (with very few miles since). It also has about a 2 year old
Walbro HO fuel pump in the tank. Original sun roof bag is still in the
back. Let me know if you are interested. I need to take some pics and
get some links, but I am away from home this week. I will get some pics
taken this weekend and try to post them up. I also have a 1986
Black/silver Shelby Charger that will be going to the crusher soon. It
is almost all completely stripped, but is a good roller. $100 for it.
I am in Southeast Kansas.

Mike
