Bob,

That part number is correct for an 88 Shelby Z T2 5 speed car, so it is indeed
an 88 turbo II computer.

As far as the wiring, yes, that computer will plug right into your harness and
work for the most part. Was your car originally an auto and you chaged it over
to stick, or was it a 5 speed to start? If was originally an auto, you'll have
to make a change to the nuetral start safetly switch plug that plugs onto the
tranny. Autos have 3 wires - the middle wire (brown with yellow tracer) is for
the safety switch, you'll need to cut that and ground it to the transmission or
the car won't start. The remaining two outside wires on the 3 prong plug can
then be coaxed onto the manual tranny's 2 prong plug and that's what gives you
reverse lights.

The only other chage is that the T2 computer will be expecting a charge temp
sensor and will throw a code if you don't have it hooked up. I'm pretty sure
all 88 daytona turbo harnesses had the wiring installed from the factory, so
you shouldn't have to run any new wiring. It's most likely tucked up into the
main harness that runs along the top of your firewall. It's a 2 wire plug that
looks like the coolant temp plug. Your T2 motor alraedy has the sensor (or at
least the intake manifold will have the hole for the sensor if the sensor is
missing), so you should just be able to fish out the wiring from the main
bundle and plug it into the sensor (on the intake manifold - front center
-right above the knock sensor and fuel rail).

That's about it. Have fun!

Jon

I need some help. I have an '88 C/S Daytona that originally had a turbo 1. I
have a turbo II from an '87 Shelby Z that I have put in the car. I believe I
have an '88 turbo II computer. It's marked with numbers:

5233246
and
000323-1

Can someone tell me what this computer goes to first of all? Second, is there
anything I'm going to need to wire in for the TII electronis/computer?
