Guys,
I'm coming clean on my question about the R/T head. I bought it last year
after winning an auction on ebay.
It was a NOS - not used - head. I was questioning this part number and
didn't want to insult or question the integrity of the person from whom I
bought it as he might be apart of this list. Actually, I have the head sitting
on a desk in my computer room where all my parts book are. I decided - on
a whim - to see if the number on the side of the head matched the part
number in the book. I appreciate and want to thank all who have confirmed
this
head number.

I am FINALLY determined to get my R/T back on the road after a few years
and the car needed a battery (now a MOPAR! ) and a muffler and a clutch. By
the way, the old Bosch battery was able to be recharged a zillion times
before it finally died. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I took off the original muffler yesterday (Mopar number on it) as it had a
hole in it. I was thinking about a OEM replacement from Walker ($86.99).
BUT, I was wondering if I should go with a performance muffler which might
even be a little cheaper. Any thoughts on this? The car is stock and am
wondering about which muffler (with price) should I buy?

Also, I decided to go for an aftermarket clutch. I bought an original
clutch at my dealer a few years back and decided to keep that for a future
resto. For now, I will go with an aftermarket clutch kit. I priced FWD
Performance and it was $199.99. There wasn't a brand name it but there was a
catalog number 49-0300. Then, I priced a LUK clutch kit from Forward Motion
and it was $159.99 Which one should I go with? Are they the same clutch
kit but with different prices?

I'm open for suggestions - thanks for your responses on the head!

Mike
