Hey All -

I have an 85 Shelby Charger 2.2 turbo 1 (stock) having charging issues.
Purchased the car last year and ran fine for 6 months, motor was rebuilt,
tranny in good condition, car ran/runs great. When the motor was rebuilt they
put in an external voltage regulator because they were unable to find a
self-regulated altenator. The bushings for the altenator shorted out
apparently so I had a new one installed. Something must have fried some wiring
on the engine wiring harness because the charging circuit is no longer working.
You can charge the battery and the car will run on battery power until it
drains. I had a shop take a look and after spending more money than I wanted
they still could not find the problem and thought a new wiring harness was
needed.
I would love to get this car running again but can't find a wiring harness for
it and was hoping someone on the forum has one for sale or knows where to get
one. If not I'm going to have to sell it because I have no room at my house
for a non functioning vehicle. It has a strong motor, turbo, 5 spd tranny
(a555), good shelby interior, and all paperwork that came with the car along w/
all receipts from repairs since it's purchase. I'd like to get $1400 for it if
I have to sell it.
Please let me know if anyone can help or if you are interested in purchasing
let me know!

Thanks,
Erik
