Years ago, I dropped off a rim at Wheels America the day before I left the
country for a week.  The wheel was supposed to be fixed within 24 hours, for
$100.  I asked for a claim ticket, but they said they didn't use them.  The guy
said they could make the rim round again, but they couldn't guarantee that a
reveal line would be perfectly even.

When I returned stateside, I went to get my rim.  It was noplace to be found.
They said to come back the following day so they could check with the second
shift crew.

The next day, they said the rim was unfixable, so they scrapped it.  The scrap
guy had already hauled it away.  They also trashed the tire (which was worn
out).  Nobody had bothered to call me and tell me before they scrapped it or at
any time until after my return visit.

The manager told me they would order a used rim, refinish it, and to make it up
to me, the total cost to me would be the $100 I was originally quoted.  I told
him to go ahead.

For several weeks I called asking about the rim, and they said they hadn't
located one yet.  Finally, on the sixth week, they said they found one in
California.  If I wanted it, it would cost $200.  I told them the other guy
promised it to me for $100, but they wouldn't honor that commitment.

The cheapest rim I found on my own was $200 + shipping, for a used one, so I
reluctantly got the refurbished one for $200.

The final product did indeed look pretty good, but after the runaround, the
irresponsibility, and the seven week delay, I can't say I'd reccommend them.
