Masoud Saqafi and his son Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Saqafi from Qabeela e
Saqeef were two prominent members of the Sahaba e Karam of Rasool e
Akram (saaws) and Hazrat Ameer Mukhtar Saqafi was the son of Hazrat Abu
Ubaidah who were a successful farmer and a breeder and trainer of
Horses.. It is
narrated , once Hazrat Abu Ubaidah was sitting with the Prophet of Islam
when Mukhtar a kid passed that way and Rasool e Akram (saaws) addressed
his father with doa for his son and said , one day this son of yours
will take revenge from the killers of my grand son and shall destroy
them one by one . He has a great future . Hazrat Ameer Mukhtar was born in
Makkah in the Year 01 H and lived for 67yrs. It
is narrated by Allama Abu Umar Mohammad ibn e Umar bin Abdul Azeez that
Hazrat Ali (a s) put the young Mokhtaar on his laps and was very
lovingly caressing his hair and said this is going to be a great
intelligent, intellectual and a great warrior. Once
there was a dialogue between Ibn e Ziad (m) and he said Thanks to Allah
that Yazeed was victor and Husain was defeated to which Ameer e Mukhtar
boldly said , “ what rubbish you talk , it was Husain who owns the
rights of Heaven and it is you and your accursed Yazeed who is humiliated and
will be a fuel for Jahannum. Hazrat
Ameer Mokhtar often in the jail used to say , it is so sad that I am
imprisoned when I am needed most , if I was free I would have definitely
took Jehad on the side of Hazrat Imam Husain (a s ) and would have been
honoured to sacrifice my life in his Mission for the protection and
preservation of Islam. After
being freed from the prison Hazrat Ameer Mukhtar went to Mekkah and
tried to put up a force against Yazeed and his associates , then went to
Madinah and raised an army, fought and
ultimately beheaded Ibne Ziad Maloun, Umar ibne Sa’ad Maloun and Shimr
Maloun all these who were the main figures in the Martyrdom of Hazrat
Imam Husain (a s) and his 72 ashaab including close relatives , Ameer
Mukhtar is considered to be the most brilliant person of the Arab
world. His brilliancy is evident from the fact that he succeeded in
executing his plans to destroy the forces which
were inimical to the Ahlebayt athaar (a s ) These enemies of Ahlebayt
and of Islam formed the Aristocrats and the elites of the Koofah o Shaam
. and Hazrat Ameer e Mukhtar could
annihilate and destroy their influence, brought them down their thrones
and send them to prisons and graveyards . In the process he killed most of the
cruellest enemies of the House of Ahlebayt and
fought wars with very meagre force on his side so much so that in the
last struggle when he was sure that it is a sure shahadah with just 71
on his side he fought to his last drop of blood to become a Martyr in
the service of Islam . Mukhtaar was accused of many things
by the enemies of Ahlebayt (a s ) because he avenged the blood of Imam
Husain (a s), ruined the Umayyad government through his great revolt,
treated the Arabs and non-Arabs equally, and adopted the policy of his
master Ima`m 'Ali, (a s ) whom he admired most .
Being
an experienced leader Mukhtaar occupied the highest position in the
society of his time and , became one of the most imminent among historical
heroes, Just
like Rasool e Akram (saaws) , like his Maula Ali (a s ) and like his
masters , the Shohda e Karbala , there have been lot of criticism ,
sometimes unfortunately from our own uninformed Ulemah who branded him a
self seekers , a person who claimed Prophethood , a man who acquired
the Chair of Maula Ali (a s ) at great price to sit on but the fact is
that this is all rubbish , malicious accusation, the fact is he
was a true muslim , who had great respect and faith in Rasool e Akram
(saaws), a finest admirer of Mauloa e Kaenat and ultimately the man who
with his supreme sacrifices brought a smile on the Imam e waqt Hazrat
Imam Zainul Aabedeen (a s ) and offered his sacrifice to attain a place
in Jannah with the Ahlebayt (a s ) . For
