You can try creating the unix domain sockets in different places until you figure out the ones that work and the ones that don't: xpra start --bind=/tmp/ Or even: xpra start --bind=/tmp/TESTSOCKETFILENAME > I can run the command with sudo, but then, it complains that it misses the > dbus, websockify and many other packages. If you are unable to use a newer distribution version, you should be able to upgrade the websockify package manually.
