All,

The National Center for Telehealth and Technology is pleased to
make available on GitHub, our opensource BSPAN Framework (Bluetooth Sensor
Processing for Android), forked from SPINE 1.3 (Signal Processing in Node
Environment). The framework sets a stable foundation for connecting
Bluetooth enabled sensors such as Shimmer with Android.

We have successfully paired, received and stored sensor data on Android
devices over Bluetooth with Shimmer (GSR, accelerometer, timestamp, and
range so far), NeuroSky's Mindset Headset, and the Zephyr BioHarness. Our
setup works with out-of-the-box Shimmer mote, we made no modifications to
the node side.

We are at a point of readiness to accept outside contributions,
particularly codecs/drivers for other Bluetooth sensors,

Looking forward to your feedback, comments, and contributions.

Cheers,
Daniel
