Hi JC,
thanks for your reply.
I have tested it again now with the original JustFatLogging Firmware
(the delivered ihex files). I connected the dock to different computers
and also tried two different Shimmer nodes with different SD cards. I
also tried it after formatting the SD and putting it in the Shimmer again.
None of these options worked.
Could it be possible, that there is some setting which I might have
changed accidentally with my (previously installed) custom-designed
firmware - and this setting now persists even when reflashing the device
with another firmware?
Best,
Franz

Hi Franz,
That is unusual; you should be able to delete the files via the dock. Have
you tried replicating the problem with a different SD card? I would also
suggest formatting your micro sd card and trying it again.
Best regards,
JC

Subject: [Shimmer-users] Delete file on SD card
Hi,
I have installed JustFatLogging on my shimmer2 devices. To copy the
recorded data to my windows PC I usually use the Shimmer docking
station. This works well.
But how can I delete files from the SD card?
If I try to do it via the dock, it says "disk is write-protected".
I found a work-around: If I open the shimmer and take out the SD card
and put it in my SD card drive, I can delete files.
But is there also a possibility to delete stored files without opening
the shimmer device?
Thanks,
Franz
