Hi Fola,

The reason for the smoothing function (Gsr.smoothSample) in the GsrP.nc is
to minimize error during transitions between GSR ranges (while in Auto
Range). A general low pass filter would work just as well. One thing to note
is that, we are in the process of switching the polynomial function we
presently use (to convert the raw ADC signals) to a linear fit function
which is more accurate and reduces error during transitions. This release is
planned for the end of this quarter. If you would like a Beta version of
this release please drop me a mail.

Best regards,

Jong Chern

Subject: [Shimmer-users] GSR smooth function.

Hello,

I have seen a smooth function for GSR in the android API and in some
firmware code.

My question is: is this available as a MATLAB function? Or has anyone
developed anything similar?

My current solution is using built in MATLAB smooth functions but I would
like to use something similar to what shimmer provides as a solution if for
nothing other than to compare the two results.

thank you.
