Hi Chris, For kinematic sensing there are quite a few advantages in terms of Shimmer3 vs. Shimmer2R: - Extremely low noise analog accelerometer. - High G ranges (up to 16G) and digital filtering on digital accels (MPU or ST micro) up to 16G - All MEMs devices on same PCB (mechanically stable)
Then there are overall improvements-- I think they are well captured on the product pages. Beyond the CPU speed increase and device size reduction, many issues raised on this listserv over the years have been addressed-- hardware on/off switch, SDmux works better, JTAG support, more analog channels (internal and external), precision clock source, better strap/attachment. -Ben On Fri, Jan 10, 2014 at 12:32 PM, Chris B <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi > > Have you guys at Shimmer (or anyone else on this list for that matter!) > implemented the MPU DSP in any example Shimmer3 applications?
