Since there are many bogus gadgets out there, I think it is worthwhile to compile a list of all known gadgets that are: * Known to work with the current version; * Use the social api (not just the gadget api); * do a non-trivial task (not just "hello world").
This list can be used as an additional test suite - real-life tests. (I cannot compile this list myself, because I still didn't manage to install a full-working version of Shindig and Partuza on my localhost, so I cannot know if a gadget fails because it is bogus or because of my installation). 2008/8/26, Chris Chabot <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > We'll it's live on a number of social websites already, friendster being > the largest with 75 mil registered users; So it should be production ready > :) > > That's not to say that every svn checkout works 100% of course, there is a > small chance a bug might sneak in at some point, which we fix asap if we > find it, but all in all iI think you'll find it's quite usable :) > > Goodluck! > > -- Chris > > > On Aug 26, 2008, at 3:53 PM, Tamlyn Rhodes wrote: > > However I wouldn't say that broken gadget >>> code would warrant the conclusion that "some very basic parts of shindig >>> are >>> broken" :-) >>> >> >> I was hoping that the reason for this lay somewhere other than shindig >> because i'm looking forward to using it as part of our intranet >> (non-business-critical).
