Yes you need to imlement PersonService, AppDataService and ActivityService. etc
For reference you can have a look at PARTUZA'S code base if you are looking for using PHP shindig. It will give you a idea of how services are being implemented. Other than that small changes like setting web_prefix in config file. I am more on PHP side, so don,t know what you are planning to use PHP/Java . This is common for both so go ahead.
