What's unclear to me is how that appid gets communicated to Shindig. I haven't 
crossed the OAuth bridge yet. So, maybe I'll figure that out when I get there.

The container must generate the appid once you install the  
application in your container.
So the container store it in it´s own database in a table named e.g.  
application where other data about the application is also stored.
