Hi every one,
Now holidays are past for most of us, it's time to look at get the 1.2
version out. We got lot of work done since the 1.0, with huge discovery
work, the "packs", sKonf and community.shinken-monitoring.org website, code
cleaning and triggers.
This 1.2 version will be a great milestone. Like Xkillian said on the 1.2
numbers post (
http://www.shinken-monitoring.org/news/shinken-1-2-what-to-expect/), this
is indeed a big version :
1. Over 1000 commits were merged
2. 22K lines of code were added to the project (new or reused code)
3. Over 150 issues were closed
4. Over 30 developers committed code
5. Forum posts have reached a grand total of 2632 posts in 411 topics by
454 members
So now it's time to get this version out. We got a few issues unresolved in
github : https://github.com/naparuba/shinken/issues?milestone=3&state=openand
some of them are just waiting user input for closing. If you got new
ticket to submit, it's time to do so. I'm releasing a RC now, so you can
all test it. It can be great if we can release this week (friday should be
great).
Some of the french members here prepared a surprise for the next week, and
it should be better if the 1.2 is out before it ;)
So please update your Shinken as soon as the RC is out, and give us your
feelbacks :)
You can find the 1.2.RC1 tarball at
http://www.shinken-monitoring.org/pub/shinken-1.2rc1.tar.gz
Good test! :)
Jean
