Hello Hermann, Thank you for the leg work. I have done the change, but I have not tested if it actually works in Graphite yet. It is not in the list of supported characters. I took a look around the Graphite source, but did not find the actual list of valid/invalid characters.
If someone can confirm that it is ok, and in what version of Graphite, I will add this to the wiki.
