I've have followed the 10 minute quick install and gotten a basic
shinken installation running. I'm using shinken 1.2.2 on Scientific
Linux 6 with Pryro 4.14 and python 2.6.
The problems I have are using my existing nagios config files. There are
2 classes of problems:
1) templating/inheritance works differently on shinken than nagios. e.g.
I've used inheritance in some define command stanzas, but shinken
complains that command_line isn't defined even though it is in the
command object that is "use"d. This I can work around if need be.
2) The arbiter hangs after reading more than 168 of my contacts. Besides
this file working in nagios, I know the stanzas can work in shinken
since it is the number not the contents of the define contact{} that
exhibit the problem.
Also,I have log_level=DEBUG set and nothing shows up in the logs. strace
shows all the aribter processes in either accept or select loops.
Anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? Would version 1.4 work better
for me?
