It's a bug because the user should have a way to update/fix the bad
parameter instead of a full widget go off.
In fact If you are doing a valid modification to a widget, all the widgets
are saved, but only the loaded one, so in fact it will "drop" the bad one
(quite easier than open sqlite in fact). But it's still a bug than a good
feature ;)

but to be short, it was never finished and the fact that is was based on
the discovery feature was not a so good idea, because discovery can't
"merge" objects.
I did a full rewrite of this art in the Enterprise edition (cf my post)
that is based on a full daemon that is distributed and able to "merge"
configuration from several sources, but it's limited to the enterprise
edition currently (I don't know yet if and when we will be able to release
the daemon core code).
