Oh, no, wait, we're okay. The problem of backgrounds (and borders) having a different origin from other elements only comes up if I introduce padding. But if everyone's voting to stay out of padding, then we're okay. I'm going to ditch the idea of the `pad` element. I had a dream about it and my subconscious made some good points against it. Like: how do you handle padding used only on half the elements? Are they in their own box then? And the dream predicted that people would use them with negative numbers, to backtrack. I think that was a bit of fud, but still, my subliminal hacker makes better decisions than I do. _why
