Somebody just left a shoebox on your doorstep. It's papery and drawn-
upon
and smells new and inky. What sorts of beautiful Shoes are you going to
put inside?
I've been working, with help and advice from Tom Bell, on a storage
space
for all the shoes apps that we've been collecting. It uses a couple of
_why's
illustrations from NKS, and tries to maintain that sketchy atmosphere.
Each app gets a page, and can list a description/how-to/tutorial
alongside
the various versions and files for the app. We can comment on the app
and
upload improvements as things are, you know, improved. You can password
protect your app if you so desire, or leave it open for anyone to edit
and upload
versions to. When you get started, please upload an iconic image of
your app
to accompany it.
So, yeah, open the floodgates. If anyone's been holding out
interesting apps
that they'd like to share, and have critiqued, now's the time. I've
put up my three
apps to get started, but it would be great to have the current
versions of
Minesweeper, Othello, and the Racetrack.
Site design critiques, suggestions for improvement, and discovery of
rendering
bugs (esp. in Windows and Linux) are appreciated, although not required.
I'm looking forward to filling up the shoebox.
