I am a bit disappointed that Shoes' dependencies are quite large.

They are smaller than average! But I was referring to internal leanness; the paucity of expressions required to get something done. No disappointment there...

BTW I'm nearly finished writing a C method that calls cairo_pdf|ps|svg_surface_create, then evaluates a block. The user-programmer can (leanly!) write a method to capture a region, or the screen, then ship the ps off to the nearest printer or renderer.

Should I post it here for review, or just diff it from the daily build and submit it as a patch? (I can't recall ever submitting a patch before...)
