    I've looked into adding a slider control to shoes.

How can we add this in raw ruby? Ain't that more to the "lean" point?

 ====V==========

A groovy horizontal rect, with a spritely V on top, over a fuzzy drop shadow, and some motion{} effect to make the V draggable within its clipped area...

Then if the user-programmer wants to make the === snake around and follow a spline, they just add that to the ruby code. Instead of cracking open whatever slider we coded in C!

The other axis of extensibility should be a system to register controls you simply can't live without - such as the WIN32 TreeView - and then plug-and-play them without coding their individual particulars in C.
