Hi,

I think this is a great idea.

Since Shoes with the Mac laces is now Cocoa based, _why automatically
get's access to a user preferences object which will take care of
serializing the preferences to disk, and also of user based security,
it would just be a case of exposing this to Shoes.

Not so sure what available on the other platforms.
