I know this is a breaking change, but every time I haven't written shoes code in a while, I find myself writing, say, :ctrl_q rather than :control_q. This is not a matter of golfing a few strokes - I see 'Control' abbreviated to "Ctrl" pretty much everywhere (including on the keyboard!)
