I've been writing something to help me check my ellipse related
calculations. I think the code should be fairly straightforward,
but if I leave it as it is, it just crashes.

A few things:

* Use "class ::Shoes" since scripts are executed inside the Shoes
  namespace.

Ah, Thanks. So (my brain appears to have all the cognitive power
of a large lump of Stilton at the minute) that would put the methods
in class Shoes::Shoes would it?

* Everywhere you've got "edit_line.text.to_i" should just be
"edit_line". Do calculations inside your button click procs.

Wrote the block first, then did copy and paste. D'oh! self.lart()

As for the crash, what build and platform are you on?

0.r873 (as per subject :-)) and Win XP SP3 . Using the with video
download.

Huh???
I just did shoes -v and got 0.r811 as the answer. Doesn't a fresh
install install it over the top, flattening the previous release?
I didn't delete the previous one before the new install as I thought
it would have the same files or more and thus overwrite.

Rats. That was the least helpful thing I could have done, then.

So there doesn't seem to be an option that can tell you if the
video is built in or not. I'm not using video, but you may want to know in case of build weirdness.

Is it any help if I reinstate the broken version of the program and
remove, then re-install shoes? I hate landing people with crummy
bug reports. :-(
