Information about when live tutoring is happening on irc, along with
this awesome python thing: http://orbited.org/ for a kick butt webpage
access to the channel (check out their own live help thing, irc
protocol implemented in javascript + python based web -> tcp sockets
gateway).
The tutorial info should also have an ical feed to subscribe to for us
calendar nerds. Also, the page about the built in manual is kind of
boring to read. Can we inject extra fun and enthusiasm in to that?
The blog and design are really nice. :)
Could be a nice thing to have something along the lines of a URI
handler like.. well.. shoes:// which could perhapsedly look a little
like...
shoes://web.download/s3.amazonaws.com/shoes_code/public/versions/43/
asteroids.rb
and might result in shoes opening up, querying the user "Let this web
stranger run on your computer, wreak havock, destroy mountains and
lives. Are you feeling adventurous?" and then, perhapsedly, running
that code! Oh what a novelty that would be for the shoe box, but
perhaps doubley importantly, for interactive tutorials, who may have
url's like: shoes://web.run/Shoes.app+%5C%7B+button+%22Buttontastic%5C
%21%22+%5C%7D for similar 'run this thingo' functionality to the built
in manual. :)
