I've had a poke about with Google and Google code and there seem to
be no examples of how to do that in cairo. That doesn't mean it is
not possible, just not well known. There is a clipboard method so
I suppose one could add buttons to get text from places and stuff it
in the clipboard, which might be a useful feature to add to the shoes
version windows, but it's too late and I'm too tired to attempt that
now.
