You know I really liked about camping how on the wiki anyone could pop
on by and contribute a page of random tidbityness. A wikish thing
inside the manual like that would be pretty awesome. I don't exactly
know how that might work though. Maybe whenever the manual is opened
it'd check for a web connection, and ask whytheluckystiff.net for a
feed of all the pages that changed since some most recent page, and
download that in the background. Would give the chance to
progressively update the manual as well... The manual could be like
locked wiki pages only _why and certain special people can edit. :)
We need a funky name for shoes users though. What do you guys think of
shoebies? shoe horns?
Then we could have all the wikiish stuff in it's own Shoebies Articles
section or something like that in the manual. To increase the barrier
to entry for spammers, I don't think the web manual should have an
editing interface, only the shoes application.
It'd also be good to have a moderation system in place for the sake of
quality. :)

You could also add something like Yahoo Answers. Everyone has a
number of
starting points, then you can use some of your points to ask a
question and
other people answer you.
What do you guys think about stackoverflow.com? I've seen Shoes
questions popping up there. It seems like sort of what you're
talking about.
And if you add that, add the Shoes IRC chatroom to the manual too.
Brilliant! A fine, fine idea.
