This seems like something which could be a ruby extension packaged up
as a gem instead of being built right in to shoes.
I agree that it would be pretty funky to be able to do stuff like
record audio from the system inputs, and output waveforms generated
right there in ruby. Some fun synth stuff could come of that! :)
