Console window on OSX

Hi,

I do  not want to complain, I am just curious. When the latest Shoes starts
and the splash window is present one can use Alt-/ or Cmd-/ to invoke the
console. Later when the splash window is gone, only Cmd-/ does the trick.
Why _why? :)
