I am using Ubuntu Intripid.

On Googling about the problem I learnt that this is a problem with the OS, or memory allocation.

I am thinking that this is a memory allocation problem.

What are your views on this and What can possibly the solution to the problem.?

Looks like a typo; left should be a symbol --- :left
