The most common reason that disk images fail to mount is because they are corrupted.

Are you downloading the file directly to the computer that is failing to open it?
What are you using to download the file?
Are you sure you are downloading the file as binary and not text?
Did you try downloading the file again?

OS X disk image support is constantly improving so upgrading to the latest version of OS X might help too. Of course, Shoes2 should run on 10.4 either way (right?). Is there anyone out there with OS 10.4 that has mounted Shoes2 successfully?

Hi,

I downloaded shoes2 to my Desktop, and the file hit my Desktop as:

shoes2.dmg

According to the install instructions here:

http://help.shoooes.net/Installing.html

I am supposed to double click on shoes2.dmg. When I do that, a Warning box pops up that says,

----
The following disk images failed to mount

Image...............................................Reason
--------................................................-----------
shoes2.dmg......................................No mountable file systems

What should I do to install shoes2?

Thanks.
