Well, maybe if you enable temporarily, then install it. I don't think there is an easy way for Shoes to find the lib64 files.
Maybe you could put a symlink from /usr/lib64/libruby.so.* to /usr/lib/libruby.so.*? (but that may mess up your system ;-[ ) Easiest way would be to install Ruby 32-bit.
