Did you resolve this? I went looking for the missing file on my Mac,
and found it:
/opt/local/lib/libgif.4.dylib
/opt/local/var/macports/software/giflib/4.1.6_0/opt/local/lib/libgif.
4.dylib
But I'm not sure why Shoes is looking for it in /tmp.
