Martin,

You maybe right BUT if you've said in you're CV that you have good or
extensive knowledge of Ruby and Shoes and the employer has you and another
person on a shortlist they may just go on line seeking contributions, comments
etc that you have posted.

And the role may have a need for you to be the face of the company when
dealing with customers (I know i have to and i am a sole charge store man for
a worldwide corporation print supply company and i have to watch what i say
from time to time in case I give the company a bad image - been pulled into
the Divisional managers office over the phone and told to pull my head in on
occasion for something I'd said that was taken the wrong way).

And it might be how you come across in/on the forums that clenches you the
job.

If you doubt what i say approach some employment agencies and ask them their
thoughts and if they think employers are doing just that.

Again they may search social networking sites more but for IT jobs what I've
said is just as valid.

Anyway this is getting way off topic for this forum, May i suggest we agree and
we disagree as is human nature.

Let's do some shoes code and see if _why will include Samuels code into Shoes
as another method.

cheers,

Dave.
