Hi folk! I got a bit lazy tonight and wondered if 'shoes' can be included as a candidate netbeans Ruby environment.
Alas, it is not happening (today, netbeans v6.7) * http://www.netbeans.org/features/ruby/index.html That's a real pity in a way (and in other ways may be not, depending on your style?) For me, I thought if shoes looked "like" a Ruby environment, we could add it to the IDE. Netbeans has a pretty standard way of looking at Ruby I guess because I've got two JRuby and the 1.8 and 1.9 -- It is a peach to swap target between 1.8, Jruby and trial stuff on 1.9 (single click). I wonder if someone else has looked at that and make is over the fence successfully? A plus in my opinion would be if the shoes runtime (ruby) worked with the tcp/ip based fastdebugger they way the release versions do ;-) I'm such a dreamer. There's probably a down side to Shoes having a "I look like ruby too" persona. Any how that was my Saturday's entertainment. If I or you come up with a hack, let's give it a go! :-) aloha, \_w_/ ___________________________________ º http://mbimarketing.wordpress.com º http://adroit-process.blogspot.com
