Hi Heiko, I have made multiple contributions to Shogun in the past (particularly last year) and would like to do a project for GSoC 2016. This was the plan last time also but unfortunately we didn't get selected for GSoC 2015. My contributions were related to linalg, neural nets and some clean-ups (and other stuff which I don't remember now). I would like to work on the HMM project if you guys plan to float this for 2016. I have little experience with bioinformatics but have an idea about HMMs and am keen on learning about whatever is required for this project. Just wanted to make sure that you will be putting this project for 2016.
