Scanning over your pdf, I re-phrase some advise from the wiki * make sure to include *concrete* drafts of classes/code/API * make sure to send some PR prior to GSoC. While it is a good idea to start with something very simple, it improves your proposal by leaps and bounds if you send something that is project relevant. * 60-80 h per week is unrealistic. 40 is enough, and hard enough to sustain.
