Are you playing the ball off your left foot? Try playing the ball in the
middle of your stance and see if the impacts are more centered. If the club
is light and you're releasing early with the ball forward in your stance,
the shaft may be already coming up by the time it reaches the ball. I was
doing this a couple of years ago with a light 44-1/2" 3W and fixed the
problem by taking the club back straighter and on a higher swing plane.
