Maybe I'm missing the point but why would you go to all this trouble
when you can get the same results with Tour Van Epoxy. Make it up wait
20 minutes and peel off the excess and its ready to go.

I don't believe you get the same strength with Tour Van epoxy. I only use it to plug a bore through shaft or to reset a ferrule. I feel even more strongly about using not using Royal Onyx....... tried it and had to rebuild everything it was used for.
We generally wait till late in the day to do all the epoxy work at the same time if the customer will accept next day delivery.  Mix enough 24 hour epoxy to repair or build 20-35 clubs that have all the parts prepped throughout the day and do them all at once. If someone needs the club the same day I would do a one off job but, it's rare and with the stronger bond nobody is unhappy. In any case the hot box assures full even curing in less time with a higher strength bond.

If I were going to do "stick and glue" clubmaking at the local flea market I would use 5 minute epoxy or Royal Onyx and open another shop nearby to do the "rebuilds" the right way and at a greater profit. Of course, I would have to wear a disguise when working the flea market!  Maybe even have wash off tattoos!
