Ed: I don't have any figures to compare the M-70 to the PE 'R' flex. I just know that he hit both clubs well and seems to think the shafts are similar in playability.
Personally, I prefer the PE 'A' flex for myself but I'm a slow swinger at about 85 mph. The 'R' felt a little too stiff for me. I've got a couple of pretty big hitting friends playing the PE 'R' flex with no problem. I think the 'A' flex would give you lots of room to play especially with the long PTS on that shaft.
